I started cooking 10 years ago, when I first met my husband who loves to eat good and fine things! I had a BIG reason to start too, because after 6 months I got pregnant and had a baby! In just 6 months my life had a huge change! I was now a mum, a wife, a housewife... I really wanted my daughter to have a health diet! I was a young mother whose never cooked before! But...now I had to cook!
I started cooking to my baby, Maria, who is someone that I love so much, and care very much! I would give up my life for her! She was a very greedy baby! she always ate everything that I cooked for her and when I tried giving something different she always rejected! Besides, I started cooking brazilian dishes to my husband too! I just found out by myself that I had a gift! A delicious gift from God that I thank him everyday!!!
Now, 10 years later, I just can't believe sometimes what I do in my kitchen! The flavour, the color, the smell and the pleasure that I provide to my husband, my offspring, and some friends sometimes! Maria use to say to me: Mom, you are the best cook in the world!!! After that, I really don't need to hear anything! I GAIN MY DAY!!!
Cooking brought to me a lot of others happiness too! My life is a big travel! I've been living in 3 different countries in these 10 years! So, no time for me at all! No time to go to school, no time to think what to do with my life! I wanted to be a doctor, a writer, an actress... a teenager full of dreams! I had to gave up some of them in name of my baby and there is no regret... God and time showed to me that I was born to cook! And now, I want to spend my life cooking! And I will...
I learned that we need to respect time and the will of God! We can't run over time! Now I understand that I wasn't born to be a doctor, because I hate to see people suffering! I would not be a good doctor! So, I can't complain!!!
